Codfuel.com is not a heating oil company. We do not sell heating oil or perform any type of repair service. Codfuel.com is an avenue for consumers to find a heating oil supplier of their choice for which they can purchase and arrange a heating oil delivery or repair service call to a residential property from that supplier. Under no circumstances shall heating oil be ordered for a commercial property from this Website. Heating oil prices that are advertised on this Website are based upon information provided by individual heating oil suppliers without verification by Codfuel.com. Each individual heating oil supplier updates their own information and prices, and Codfuel.com makes no representation or warranty regarding accuracy of price, quality, delivery time or date, errors, omissions, misrepresentations or availability of products offered by suppliers referred to on this Website. Consumers are not bound by any one supplier and can change suppliers from delivery to delivery.

Oil Burner Service

Oil burner repair service can be ordered and scheduled via Codfuel.com as an avenue to provide such. Prices for service work that are displayed do not include parts and tax. Parts and tax is additional to labor charges. All work is performed by the service provider of your choice. Codfuel.com is limited to scheduling a service call and assumes no liability for repairs, delays in arrival, price, damage to person or property or other issues that may be caused by selected providers. Upon scheduling a service call, a $40 non-refundable payment will be charged to your credit card. This charge will be deducted from the total service call invoice upon completion of the call. The balance of the service charges must be paid directly to the service provider upon completion. 

Consumer Terms and conditions

The use of Codfuel.com by you the consumer, agree that the conditions set forth in this agreement are accepted by you without modification of any of the terms and conditions herein. Your use of this Web site constitutes your agreement as a whole. Accepting these terms are legally equivalent of signing a written document. Agreement of these terms are required prior to all purchases on this Website.

Oil Tank Certification

When ordering an oil delivery and agreeing to the terms set forth, you certify that your fill pipe is connected to a fuel oil tank and in proper working order and free from leaks. You also certify that there are no abandoned oil tanks on the premises. If there is more than one working oil tank on the property, then the tank to be filled must be clearly marked by the consumer. Codfuel.com or the delivering oil company is not responsible for delivering to an incorrect tank as it is the duty of the homeowner to have all unused tanks legally abandoned.

Ordering/Purchasing

The consumer first finds a heating oil supplier which services the area or zip code entered by the consumer. Next, the consumer selects a heating oil supplier for a single oil delivery by clicking on the "order" link next to the suppliers name and price list. If "CASH" payment is chosen, the consumer must be home at time of delivery to pay the oil driver in "CASH" only. Under no circumstances will a credit card or check be accepted on a "CASH" order. Next, the consumer will enter the quantity of gallons they would like delivered and click on the "calculate" button. The total (including sales tax if applicable) will update in the fields below. If the consumer checks off the box to fill their oil tank, their credit card will be charged for the tank size x the price per gallon. Clicking on the "next" button next will open the confirmation page. This page will reconfirm the total gallons, price of the order including same day delivery charges if applicable, delivery address and the supplier selected for this delivery. By clicking "continue" the consumer agrees to the order and the payment page will open. Finally, the consumer will enter their name, address and delivery information along with their payment information and click "next" to finalize the order. Payment for the order is then charged. As of 10/13/2012, Your card will be charged for the amount of gallons ordered. If you selected to fill your tank, your card will be charged for your tank size x price per gallon. When your order is delivered and posted by the supplier, your card will receive an automatic refund if there the gallons ordered was more than what was delivered. If you selected to fill your tank, you will also receive an automatic refund for the difference of what was charged versus what was actually delivered. Payment for the order is then disbursed to the supplier upon clearing of funds by the merchant bank. You certify that you are the legal holder of the credit card used to purchase heating oil or any other products on Codfuel.com.

Oil Prices

When you order an oil delivery, you select the oil company you want to deliver your oil. The price you ordered at is the price you will be charged. Every order has the gallons and prices, so if you order 200 gallons and receive 200 gallons, you will receive the 200 gallon price. IF you receive less than 200 gallons, you will pay the price that coincides to the amount received minus the "leeway" designated by that particular dealer. For example: If your tank fills up before reaching the ordered amount, the dealer will change the price per gallon to the appropriate price bracket on your order, less the "leeway" advertised in their online ad. If your price per gallon changes due to not meeting minimum requirements and your credit card is not approved for the additional funds, a new transaction will be processed for the balance.

If the oil prices change up or down after you placed your order, you will still pay the price you ordered at. with the exception of Force majeure. Force majeure means dealers cannot guarantee the price if it is overinflated due to War, riots, earthquakes, hurricanes, lightning, and explosions. They will do their best to adhere to the ordered price, but if it goes up beyond their control, the order will be cancelled.

Delivery Times

Codfuel.com or their oil dealers do not take delivery time requests. If possibe, the oil dealer may give a close, approximate time, however, times may change depending on weather, traffic, truck or labor issues, etc.
Ordering by credit card is the preferred method as you do not have to be home to wait for the oil truck. Cash orders are typcialy called first to confirm payment. IF this confirmation call is missed, you could miss your delivery and it will be rescheduled for the next delivery day of the dealer selected.

Cancellations/Short Deliveries

Once the payment or order is confirmed and cancellation is necessary, there will be a $20.00 cancellation fee for cash, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express orders. For American Express orders over $600, a fee of 2.5% of the total order will be the cancellation fee.
Canceling an order to place a new one will also result in a cancellation fee due to credit card charges we incur from your credit card company, plus the additional work involved in the cancellation process. Rescheduled orders do not count as a cancellation as long as it's reschedule within 3 days, so there is no cancellation fee (Providing you DO NOT Cancel the order and place a new order. To reschedule an order, please call the oil dealer you ordered with. We cannot reschedule orders online. Rescheduled orders must be within 3 days of original order due to fluctuating oil prices.

You MUST contact the oil supplier directly via telephone to cancel your order.  IF you do not contact the oil dealer directly to cancel in time and the delivery is made, you are responsible for payment of the delivery. If your delivery is scheduled more than 24 hours away, you may cancel it in your account by clicking on the "Cancel" button next to the order in your account. If there is no button, then the delivery is scheduled within 24 hours and you must call the dealer directly to cancel.

Short Deliveries: If your oil is delivered and your tank takes less than the minimum delivery for the dealer making your delivery, there will be a $25 fee. For example: If a dealer's minimum delivery is 50 gallons and your tank takes less than 50 gallons, there will be an additional charge of $25 plus the oil being delivered at the price per gallon bracket for their minimum delivery.

Codfuel.com has the right to cancel any order without penalty to the customer. If your order is cancelled and you ordered by credit card, your card will be refunded in full without fees.

Consumer Email Address Validation

If an invalid email is entered for an account, any oil delivery or service order will be cancelled. We must be able to communicate correctly via email before proceeding with any deliveries or service. If an email bounces back or is returned to sender, the order will be cancelled.

Suppliers

Heating oil suppliers that sell their product on Codfuel.com are independent entities of Codfuel.com and are selected by the consumer at the time the order is placed. Codfuel.com does not endorse any particular company over another nor does Codfuel.com warrant any service provided by the supplier. All suppliers on Codfuel.com have confirmed to be both licensed by their State or County and claim to be properly insured for consumer protection. Consumers who purchase heating oil on Codfuel.com agree not to hold Codfuel.com responsible for any form of errors in delivery, non-delivery, rescheduled deliveries, advertising claims, property damage, problems with heating system, running out of oil or any faults that were sustained in error or by accident by supplier. Codfuel.com's sole purpose is to provide a convenient avenue for consumers to purchase heating oil. Under no circumstances shall Codfuel.com become liable either directly or indirectly for any damages from the use of this Website. Further, you agree to indemnify Codfuel.com and all of their agents from claims of any kind such as losses or damages indirectly caused by usage of this Website.

Supplier Payments

Suppliers must login to their control panel on Codfuel.com after deliveries are completed to post the amount of gallons delivered and update the price per gallon (if applicable). Once posted, Codfuel.com will "close" the sale and charge the credit card. Payment will be sent to the supplier upon clearing of the funds via the merchant account.

Consumer Payments

All credit cards for online payments are charged at the time the order is placed (this went into effect 10/13/2012) by calculating the amount of gallons ordered and multiplying by the price per gallon (plus appropriate sales tax). If the order was for a "fill up", we will pre-approve charge your credit card by multiplying your tank size by the price per gallon. Your credit card will not be billed at time of ordering until after the oil delivery has been made. Your final price for the order will be dependent on the quantity of gallons delivered and multiplied by the corresponding price per gallon for the allotment of oil received (plus tax if applicable). As the consumer, you agree to the pricing structure for the supplier you choose, (example: if you order 200 gallons and your oil tank fills up after receiving 150 gallons, you will be charged the appropriate price per gallon for 150 gallons, not the 200 gallon price) All transactions on Codfuel.com will appear on your bank or credit card statement as Codfuel.com. All payments for heating oil deliveries are disbursed to the selected supplier after completion of the delivery. A small percentage of the order is paid to Codfuel.com by the supplier to pay for bank transaction fees, website maintenance and operational expenses. Codfuel.com is a free service for consumers.

CREDIT CARD DISPUTES AND CHARGEBACKS

By accepting the terms of this website and placing orders on Codfuel.com, You, the consumer agree and certify to pay for any and all completed orders that you have arranged and received with any of the participating suppliers for oil deliveries, goods or services. Furthermore any chargebacks, (return of funds for non-authorized payments made via credit cards) for oil deliveries, goods or services rendered will not be accepted. You, the consumer, agree to pay for any bank fees, attorney fees or incidental fees including the amount of the chargeback. To ensure the protection of our consumers, our payment processing is completed on an encrypted, PCI compliant secure server.
**ANY CREDIT CARD DISPUTE OR CHARGEBACK WILL RESULT IN PERMANENT TERMINATION OF YOUR CODFUEL.COM ACCOUNT and incur a $50 fee

PROMO CODES

Promo codes are offered on a periodic basis. They are promoted on Social media sites and in the individual dealer ads on Codfuel.com. Promo codes can be used when available as long as they are entered at the time of the order. Once a delivery is made and updated, a promo code can no longer be added to the order.

Delivery Credits/Debits

Orders requesting more heating oil that can safely be pumped into the fuel storage tank without the occurrence of a spill are subject to price changes according to the suppliers current price for the allotment of heating oil delivered. (Example: if 200 gallons was ordered and the tank filled up at 180 gallons, the price per gallon will be adjusted to the corresponding price for 180 gallons). It is the responsibility of the consumer to order the correct amount of oil.

Deliveries taking more heating oil than on original order are subject to price changes according to the supplier's current price for the allotment of heating oil delivered. (Example: if 200 gallons was ordered and you've authorized the supplier at time of delivery to change the order to 250 gallons, payment for the additional oil (example: 50 gallons) must be paid directly to the supplier at time of delivery.

Delivery Acceptance

Codfuel.com or it's oil suppliers reserve the right to refuse to accept an order in the event that the oil supplier has not updated their oil prices to current prices or for any reason including but not limited to truck breakdown, no oil supply, inclement weather, holiday or any other event that may cause a delay in delivery. If for any reason, a supplier cannot make a delivery as ordered or scheduled, the consumer will be notified by either the supplier or Codfuel.com and other delivery arrangements will be made (if possible, Codfuel.com will attempt to transfer your order to another dealer) or a cancellation of the order will be made. There will not be any cancellation fees if this occurs.

Free Oil Drawings

Drawings are held randomly on random dates. Winners will be notified by e-mail and have 7 days to claim prize. After 7 days the prize is forfeited and will be offered on the next drawing. Prizes such as Free oil must be delivered within 10 days of drawing. Total amount of oil won must be delivered in one delivery. Any balance of oil that is not received due to a full tank will be nullified. Other prizes may include but not limited to movie tickets, Gift card, Fuel oil additives and other misc. prizes. All winners agree to allow Codfuel.com to use their name, City and State in any promotions or advertisements for Codfuel.com. E-mail addresses and other personal information will not be used in any such advertisements. These terms may change without notice.

SMS/MMS MOBILE MESSAGE MARKETING PROGRAM TERMS

Codfuel.com (“We,” “Us,” “Our”) is offering a mobile messaging program (the “Program”), which you agree to use and participate in subject to these SMS/MMS Mobile Messaging Terms and Conditions, Our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and any other applicable terms and agreements related to your use of Our Program (the “Agreement”). By opting in to or participating in Our Program, you accept and agree to these terms and conditions, including, without limitation, your agreement to resolve any disputes with Us through binding, individual-only arbitration, as detailed in the “Dispute Resolution” section below. This Agreement is limited to the Program and is not intended to modify other agreements that may govern the relationship between you and Us in other contexts.

Program Description: Without limiting the program's scope, users who opt into the program can expect to receive messages from us and others texting on our behalf concerning the marketing and sale of our goods, services, and events. Messages may include checkout reminders.

It is best to contact your wireless provider if you have questions regarding your data or text plan. Message frequency varies. The Program involves recurring mobile messages, and additional mobile messages may be sent periodically based on your interaction with us.

Opt-outs must be submitted following the procedures set forth above.

Liabilities and Limitations

Codfuel.com is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions or lost or un-received e-mail orders or confirmations. Under no circumstances will Codfuel.com or its suppliers become liable for any damages or injury that result from the use of the materials on Codfuel.com.

Codfuel.com is not responsible for any damages to person or property or otherwise due to delayed or missed deliveries. Each oil dealer is accountable for their own account and delivery schedule.

Codfuel.com or it's dealers have the right to decline an order at their own discression without penalty to the customer.
